Party Chief on the Cape Breton Ghost Gear Retrieval Project. Led side-scan sonar surveys to detect abandoned, lost, or discarded fishing gear (ALDFG), developed a comprehensive target database, and conducted retrieval operations as part of a Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) marine environmental remediation initiative. Assisted with boat mobilization, setting offsets, and configuring survey parameters within Hypack for multibeam data acquisition. Responsible for processing survey data using CARIS software. Configured GNSS survey profiles and styles with CanNet correction service for precise positioning. Calibrated, configured, and operated USBL system to accurately position underwater equipment. (2022)
